In St. Patrick’s Grammar School there are many opportunities for students to develop their talents and gifts both inside and outside the classroom. From the Breakfast Club in the morning to the Homework Club in the evening, there is a wide range of clubs and activities on offer which further develop self-confidence, self-esteem and resilience as well as numerous personal and interpersonal skills. Our extra-curricular programme also provides opportunities for our students identified as Gifted & Talented.

As a centre for GAA sports, the school specialises in Gaelic football (including senior ladies), hurling and handball and competes in Ulster Colleges’ Competitions at all levels.

Throughout the academic year, students from the different form groups (Down, Killard, Lecale and Quoile) have opportunities to compete in Inter-House activities such as Gaelic football, soccer and track and field athletics. Students also compete in the provincial cup competitions in soccer.
